The song is amazing, the music in the verse was sampled by DJ Shadow, proving its versatility and charm. The guys' voices have a really human quality and they're not overdoing anything, except maybe the visuals a little. I particularly like the short-haired guy's vocals, his tone, and the way he presents himself on screen. Less trying to be a star and just being himself but good at what he's doing at the same time. The verse is kinda dark and brooding while the chorus is full on ethereal euphoria which is a fantastic contrast and a brilliant concept. The lyrics are really great for anyone to listen to, especially people like terrorists, as it deals with hate and love and hopefully the idea of tolerance comes across.
This video is in the tradition of the Peter Gabriel videos with claymation and abstract art aflowing. It's kinda pretty and there's a lot of religious strings being plucked. I kinda wish there had been more icons of Islam, or maybe I just didn't recognize them- still it's a great effort to mash the religions together- the way they should be.
