Does "It" Stand For "My Time"?
I kind of feel like I need to know what "it" is before I make a detailed analysis but then again this video isn't the best in the world so why should this review be any better? This video is... unique, to put it politely. I don't know about guys in leather pants and frilly shirts. I prefer drag queens. Thankfully, this video has two. Nice 70's effects, very trashy, although the trashy feeling that we so crave on this site is let down by the rest-home-looking audience. I get the impression that when the band looks back on this, they probably feel they shouldn't have done this in a club full of white people. The audience just looks kinda confused. They look like they thought they were in a restaurant and all of a sudden the band came out and started to do the groove thang. Actually it's the audience that made me give this video four stars. There's no other audience so blasé about being in a video.
I can hear two voices doing most of the singing but the guy only says "Shake it on down to me" once and a while and otherwise he's just lip-syncing which is kinda odd. I like the whistle a lot and how it signals the counting- honestly I do! And good thing about the counting because of course it's a good thing for a song to be educational. It's a kinda good song (the appropriate term is "meh"), but I don't know if I'd play it around the house. I wouldn't want to embarrass my neighborhood.
